Senior Account Manager

We are seeking a full-time Senior Account Manager to work as part of our Account Team. Redroc manages 30+ accounts in Austin, throughout Texas and across the country in a multitude of industries, but focusing on events, entertainment, hospitality, alcohol, home services and clinical research. As a Senior Account Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact with agency clients and be in charge of brand ownership, project management and media strategy for your list of accounts. The position is directly supervised by the agency’s Senior Account Director and assisted by a Digital Media Director, Social Media Director, and Media Buyer/Planner.

This is a hybrid position – A mix of work-from-home, in-office and on-site at clients as needed. We work Monday through Friday roughly 9a-6p. Candidate must reside in the greater Austin area and be available for in-person meetings or shoots and for in-office days at our South Lamar office.

What you will do in this role:

Act as the lead strategist for agency accounts. A requirement is heavy experience in media strategy, understanding all aspects of digital and traditional media, including how to interpret digital results and relate those to strategic needs. This position is pivotal in coordinating our media strategy with brand and creative strategy, working as the conduit between our clients and our creative team to deliver creative that works.

Build media plans and work with the media department to facilitate buying for print, radio, TV, outdoor, direct mail, digital, and social. Manage needs, scope, strategy, roadmaps, communication, and budgets for multiple clients/projects in a fast-paced environment demanding quality results. You must be confident in asking appropriate questions to define and move projects forward and have a flexible approach to collaborating with a team to get things done. A strong understanding of project scope, timelines, evolution, and resources is key to succeeding in this position.

Serve as a champion of internal processes pertaining to your list of accounts, which include projects, social media, and email management.

Collaborate with multiple disciplines in the agency. We are huge believers in the work of small teams, so playing well with others is a must! This collaboration will also include working with production partners on various projects, including voice talent, production crews, and web developers.

Lead brainstorming sessions, client meetings, and project review discussions.

Develop client strategy and business planning, which includes ideation of promotional opportunities and management of client budgets. As part of budget management, you will also generate monthly reconciliation reports.

Create and present pitches/proposals. Create opportunities to further our relationship and work with your clients. Traffic creative through internal processes to client approval and finally to media.

What you should have:

  • 10+ years advertising agency account management
  • 4-year college degree
  • Ability to lead strategic conversations
  • Strong media knowledge
  • Solutions-oriented and capable of making decisions under pressure
  • Comfortable with learning new technology and systems
  • Strong sense of ownership, professionalism, and work ethic
  • Confidence in representing the agency
  • Sense of curiosity and the desire to continually learn and grow

The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference for clients, have strong communication, collaboration, active listening, and problem-solving skills. They must also be responsible, have great attention to detail and be comfortable interacting with clients directly. Experience using Asana, Harvest, Hey Orca Social is a plus, but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. We work on Apple computers, not PCs.

Compensation:

  • Annual Salary: $80,000 plus potential bonus
